To utilize the Tabletop Camera mode, start by placing your phone on a flat surface with the outer screen facing downwards, then tap the Flip Camera button. The interface will rotate so that the top screen displays what the camera sees while the lower part shows different settings and controls. To capture a photo, simply press the shutter button when you’re set (you can also manage the camera with a paired Pixel Watch).
Capture Hands-Free Selfies with Palm Timer
The Rear Camera Selfie and Tabletop Camera mode features make using the Fold an enjoyable experience, but to enhance these features, try snapping selfies with the integrated Palm Timer. This feature was introduced to the Pixel Fold upon its release and has since been available on Pixel 6 and newer models.
Once activated, you can raise your palm in front of the camera, prompting an automatic countdown timer to capture the photo. This function is ideal for taking group photos without needing to rush into position.
To use the Palm Timer, access the Camera Settings, choose the Timer option, and select either the 3- or 10-second timer. When prepared, raise your hand with your palm facing the camera, similar to waving at it. Subsequently, simply lower your hand to start the timer and strike your pose.
