In observance of International Fact-Checking Day, we present four Search functionalities that can aid you in swiftly assessing information and obtaining essential context to comprehend what you encounter on the internet.
To make these tools more widely available, we have extended two features — About this image and About this page — to 40 more languages worldwide.
Explore additional information about a website through “more about this page”
While you may be familiar with many websites in your search results, there may be others that are unfamiliar to you. Our About this result feature allows you to gain insights about a website before you navigate to it. Simply click the three dots next to a website in the search results and select the “more about this page” tab. This will display details about the website, such as how it is described on Wikipedia (if available) and opinions expressed about the site on the internet. Having more information about the website can enable you to make a well-informed decision about visiting it.
The “more about this page” function in About this result is now accessible in 40 more languages globally, including French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
