Nokia has unveiled its new division, Nokia Federal Solutions, to collaborate with the United States federal government in delivering crucial technology and services to various agencies.
The NFS is set to cater to the specific demands of the United States, offering IP Routing, Optical Networking, Microwave, 5G, Private Wireless, and Tactical Private Wireless technology.
Tommi Uitto, President of Mobile Networks at Nokia, emphasized the significance of this move for the company’s prospects in the defense sector.
Mike Loomis has been appointed as the president of Nokia Federal Solutions. In a press release, he highlighted that the establishment of this dedicated entity aims to provide local presence, technology, and expertise, with the NFS representing an investment towards strengthening the partnership with the United States.
