We all have high expectations for our devices, especially when it comes to their batteries. To address this, we have introduced powerful features like faster charging on the Pixel Watch 2 and Battery Share on Pixel phones, which allows you to charge accessory devices, such as the Pixel Buds. However, what do you do when your battery is running low and you’re out on a hike or day trip and need to conserve your device’s power?
That’s where Battery Saver comes in. This useful feature helps save battery power by reducing background activities and visual effects. You can also opt to receive automatic notifications to turn on Battery Saver when your Pixel battery hits 10% or 20%.
Here’s how to enable Battery Saver on your Pixel devices.
How to Activate Automatic Battery Saver
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Battery, then Battery Saver, then Schedule and reminders.
- Ensure that “Turn on based on battery level” is enabled, and adjust the slider to your desired percentage.
If you have a Pixel 3 or later, you can choose between Standard Battery Saver and Extreme Battery Saver by accessing the Settings app and selecting your preferred mode. Extreme Battery Saver saves even more power by pausing all non-essential apps. You can customize the app settings when Extreme Battery Saver is active.
The process for activating Battery Saver on the Pixel Watch is just as straightforward.
How to Enable Battery Saver on Your Pixel Watch
- Swipe down.
- Tap the battery icon to confirm that Battery Saver is on.
