ZTE’s subsidiary nubia made waves at MWC with the announcement of the Flip 5G and other new phones. Among them were the camera-centric nubia Focus and Focus Pro, the gaming-focused Neo 2, and the music-oriented nubia Music.
Although specific pricing and availability details were not provided for all the newly unveiled devices, ZTE confirmed that the phones will be available in Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
nubia Focus and Focus Pro come with a 108MP Neovision main camera, featuring a unique dual-tone back design that is reminiscent of old-school cameras. The main 108MP shooter offers different focal lengths, with the Focus Pro covering five and the Focus covering four. Both phones offer features like in-sensor zoom, RAW HDR, and 4K video recording.
The Focus Pro is equipped with a sliding button on the side frame for quick access to the camera app, along with a dedicated capacitive camera shutter. The nubia Focus sports a 6.6-inch HD+ 120Hz display, while the Focus Pro boasts a 6.72-inch FHD+ 120Hz panel.
Both phones are powered by Unisoc T760 chipsets, 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and 5,000 mAh batteries with 33W fast charging. The nubia Focus is expected to start at $199.
nubia Neo 2 is a budget gaming phone priced at $199, featuring capacitive shoulder triggers, a 6.72-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, and a 5G-capable Unisoc T820 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
ZTE highlights the multi-layer heat dissipation system for better performance during intense gaming and includes a dedicated Game Space 2.0 interface in the Neo 2. The phone also features Dual DTS:X Ultra speakers and a large 6,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
nubia Music sports a unique design with a focus on music-related features. It has a 6.6-inch HD+ 90Hz display with a punch-hole cutout on the front and a standout feature on the back.
The phone includes a DTS-branded loudspeaker next to the cameras, claiming to be 600% louder than regular smartphone speakers. Additionally, it features two 3.5mm headphone jacks for shared music listening experiences with a friend using wired headphones.
Nubia Music is powered by a Unisoc SC9863A chipset with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery. The pricing for the nubia Music is expected to start at $149.
