Amazon’s Spring Deal Days did not affect the prices of iPhone Pro models, but the standard models from the iPhone 14 and 15 series are now discounted by up to £150.
The iPhone 15 may be compact, but with the Apple A16 chipset and Apple’s continuous software support, it offers high performance. Despite not having a large battery, its 13-hour and 20-minute active use score surpasses many other flagship devices.
The iPhone 15 Plus features a 6.7” screen similar in size to the 15 Pro Max, albeit with a 60Hz LTPS panel. This generation introduced the Dynamic Island for a more contemporary appearance, and its 48MP main camera offers some in-sensor zoom capability (dedicated zoom lens reserved for Pro models).
The iPhone 15 series is equipped with a USB-C port (albeit v2.0 for data transfers but with DisplayPort support). For those willing to forgo these features or avoid replacing their Lightning cables, the iPhone 14 is priced at least £100 lower than the iPhone 15.
Likewise, the iPhone 14 Plus is at least £100 cheaper than its successor, with savings of up to £140 for the 256GB model.
Consider getting some cases for your new iPhone. With the iPhone 15 series, Apple has replaced its official leather cases with FineWoven cases, which have a shorter lifespan than leather cases, so silicone cases might be a better option.
The iPhone 14 series was the last to feature Apple’s leather cases, but you can always opt for a silicone case instead.
The differences between Apple Watch Series 8 and Series 9 are minimal compared to the transition from iPhone 14 to 15. The Apple S9 chip improved battery life, doubled the storage to 64GB, and the new display can reach up to 2,000 nits compared to Series 9’s half that brightness, a noticeable improvement especially in sunlight. The Series 8 is more affordable, and a Series 10 is expected in the Autumn.
Lastly, an unexpected deal – the Meta Quest 2 now priced at £200. While not as powerful as the Quest 3, it’s a cost-effective option for experiencing VR, supported by numerous games. These are more accessible than the Apple Vision Pro, which remains unavailable officially in the UK due to its high price.
