A developer at Google has revealed that the first preview of Android 15 is set to be released tomorrow. This initial developer preview for Android 15, also referred to internally as “Vanilla Ice Cream,” is scheduled for February 15, a week later than last year’s first developer preview for Android 14.

Among the expected features of Android 15 is the introduction of Private Spaces, which will allow users to lock certain apps from appearing in their app list. Additionally, Lock Screen widgets are anticipated to make a return, and Google is expected to introduce full-screen apps that will display content under the navigation and status bars. The Android 15 Developer Preview will be available for Google Pixel 6 and newer Pixel devices.
It’s important to note that developer preview builds are primarily recommended for app developers for testing purposes. However, as long as you have a supported Pixel device, you’ll be able to download and install the firmware build.
