The OnePlus Nord CE4 was released in India recently. Did you purchase one? Are you thinking about it? Let’s discuss. Also, if you missed it, take a look at our hands-on review of the Nord CE4 for more insight into the phone.
Powered by the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, the CE4 offers a significant improvement in GPU performance (almost double) and similar CPU speed to its predecessor (a slight edge). Paired with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB storage (UFS 3.1), it also features a microSD slot for additional storage.
The camera on the CE4 utilizes a new main sensor (Sony LYT-600) that captures impressive shots at a 12.5MP resolution, but the higher-res 50MP mode and 2x zoom may not meet expectations.
With a 10% larger 5,500mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging (wired only), the CE4 charges quickly. Our tests showed a full charge in 29 minutes, reaching 69% in just 15 minutes.
The OnePlus Nord CE4 is priced at ₹25,000 for the 8/128GB model and ₹27,000 for the 8/256GB version. Starting April 5, customers can avail of an instant bank discount of up to ₹1,500 and an exchange bonus of up to ₹2,500. Let’s compare it with some similarly priced devices.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro is priced at ₹26,000 for an 8/128GB model. It features a weaker Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip without a microSD slot but includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. The main camera boasts a larger 200MP sensor, and the 6.67” display is slightly sharper with richer colors. The 5,100mAh battery supports 67W charging (44 minutes for a full charge). Both phones are IP54 rated for dust and splash resistance.
The Poco X6 shares the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and a 6.67” 120Hz 12-bit display as the Redmi Note 13 Pro, with an identical IP54 rating. It also features a 5,100mAh battery with 67W charging. However, the main camera is less impressive at 64MP. The base X6 is priced at ₹23,000 and offers ample RAM and storage with 12/512GB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro • Xiaomi Poco X6 • Nothing Phone (2a) • Realme 12 Pro+
The Nothing Phone (2a) is powered by the Dimensity 7200 Pro, which is not as powerful as the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. It features a standout 50MP ultra-wide camera (with the main also at 50MP), but its 6.7” 120Hz FHD+ display and IP54 rating are similar to the Nord CE4. The 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging is a step down. The 2a is priced at ₹24,000 for an 8/128GB variant.
The Realme 12 Pro+ starts at ₹30,000 for the 8/128GB model. It utilizes the weaker Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 but excels in the camera department with 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide lenses alongside a 3x 64MP periscope lens. The 6.7” 120Hz FHD+ OLED display is on par with the Nord’s, but the 5,000mAh battery supports 67W charging. It offers slightly better dust and water resistance with an IP65 rating but lacks expandable storage.
