I found it quite easy to customize my Floyd frame. I started with a queen size and later converted it to a king size while retaining the queen-size headboard. The resulting asymmetrical look might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but personally, I’m satisfied with it. I have been utilizing the underbed storage since March 2022. Each drawer is around 3.5 feet wide by 1.25 feet deep and 4.75 inches high. While this depth may not be sufficient for some individuals, I have found it to be practical. The drawer, crafted from sturdy sewn canvas hanging from a steel frame mounted on tracks that integrate with the bed frame, slides in and out smoothly. It is designed to sit flush with the bottom of the bed, minimizing the accumulation of dust. I have not observed any dust buildup on the exterior after three months of use and regular vacuuming, though it’s important to note that my home is currently pet-free. I initially had concerns about the canvas’s ability to support weight, but it has maintained its shape well. Installing the underbed storage was more challenging than adding the headboard, requiring the removal of the bed frame’s supportive straps, replacing two old leg supports with new ones (provided), and then reattaching the straps. Despite this, the entire process took only about 10 minutes with the assistance of one other person.
