The Oppo A59 is not the only smartphone making its global debut in India today. Joining it is the Poco M6, which is fueled by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6100+ SoC and comes with 4/6/8GB of RAM, expandable up to an additional 8GB through RAM expansion.
The Poco M6 is equipped with a 6.74-inch 720×1,600 LCD screen featuring a 90 Hz refresh rate and up to 600-nit peak brightness. It also has Gorilla Glass protection, 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, microSD expansion support, dual-SIM functionality, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
Additionally, it includes a 50 MP main rear camera, is dust and splash resistant, and runs Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top. The first sale is set for December 26, and it will be available in Galactic Black and Orion Blue.
If these specifications appear familiar, it’s because the Poco M6, as rumored earlier, seems to be a direct rebrand of the Redmi 13C 5G, which was released the previous week. The back design is slightly different with unique brand touches applied by Poco, but overall they seem identical.
The normal prices for the Poco M6 are INR 10,499 for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, INR 11,499 for the 6/128GB version, and INR 13,499 for the top-spec 8/256GB iteration. However, with a bank offer, you can purchase the M6 for just INR 9,499, making it the most affordable 5G-capable smartphone ever available in India, according to Poco.
