In a recent leak, a case allegedly designed for the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro hints at the possible inclusion of a new feature – the Capture Button. Although the case is not officially made by Apple, the source behind the leak, Sonny Dickson, has a credible history of revealing accurate information related to Apple developments.
The case exhibits a distinct cutout on the right side, situated just below the power button. Notably, the power button is covered with rubber, while the anticipated Capture Button features a cutout. This design choice could either be attributed to the case’s unique design or be indicative of the button’s functionality, sparking further speculation.

Earlier this month, reports emerged indicating that Apple is exploring the addition of a Capture Button to the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro models.
The proposed button would join the existing Action Button mounted on the left-hand side, introducing a novel control element for iPhones and reflecting an unconventional move by Apple. It is anticipated to function similarly to a soft shutter button found on conventional cameras. A half-press is expected to activate the focus, while a full press would capture a single image or a series of shots. While some Sony phones incorporated shutter buttons in the past, they were typically slimmer and not as functional.
