Main Points

  • At MWC 2024, OPPO revealed its latest innovation, the Air Glass 3, challenging brands like HONOR and Lenovo in the wearable tech realm.
  • The Air Glass 3 features advanced AI capabilities, enabling it to process various inputs — text, images, video, and audio — and deliver corresponding visual and audio outputs to the wearer.
  • Equipped with a lightweight design, a vibrant full-color display, and convenient touch controls, OPPO’s Air Glass 3 aims to redefine the market for wearable technology.

MWC 2024 is bustling with tech enthusiasts as leading brands showcase their latest gadgets and gizmos. Preceding the event, HONOR unveiled the Magic 6 Pro, and more recently, Lenovo showcased its innovative ThinkBook laptop featuring a transparent display. Joining the fray, OPPO introduces its cutting-edge smart glasses, the Air Glass 3, integrating AI and GPT technology into wearable devices.

The standout feature of the Air Glass 3 lies in its use of AI to provide users with information-rich experiences. These smart glasses can process a mix of inputs, including text, images, video, and audio, translating them into both visual and auditory outputs effortlessly. By pressing the temple of the Air Glass 3, users can activate the built-in AI voice assistant, enhancing the interaction.

The Air Glass 3 leverages AndesGPT technology through the Air Glass app on the paired smartphone to process the incoming data, resulting in seamless visual and audio feedback for the user. Furthermore, these smart glasses support touch controls for managing music playback, calls, information display, and more.

Weighing a mere 50 grams, the Air Glass 3 offers a refractive index of 1.70 and a peak brightness of up to 1000 nits. OPPO prides itself on delivering a comfortable wearing experience akin to standard glasses while harnessing the benefits of a vivid full-color display. Furthermore, equipped with four microphones and open-ear earphones, the Air Glass 3 guarantees optimal audio quality.

Although OPPO has yet to disclose the global release date and pricing for the Air Glass 3, stay tuned for updates. Meanwhile, feel free to share your impressions of the OPPO Air Glass 3 in the comments below.
