If you compare the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+, you will notice only a few differences. However, the results from last week’s poll indicate that these two phones are significantly different. Neither of them is expected to be a top seller, but the plus model is definitely the more popular choice.
Let’s start with the Realme 12 Pro. Only 1 in 10 people are interested in this model, with 2 more willing to consider it if it receives great reviews. For most, there are better mid-range options available. Many are waiting for upcoming models such as the Samsung Galaxy A55 and Nothing Phone (2a).
The Realme 12 Pro+ has sparked more interest. 2 in 10 are already interested, and 2 more can be convinced (with our review on the way).
The design of the 12 Pro pair was inspired by luxury watches, with some loving it and others not. However, it is a unique look, standing out from brands that recycle tired designs. The curved displays have been a common point of criticism in the comments, and indeed, people cited this as a downside for the two Realmes.
The chipsets are also a concern. The 12 Pro+ comes with the more powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, but this chip is notably less powerful than the similarly named 7+ Gen 2. The regular 12 Pro uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, which is even slower.
Stay tuned for the Realme 12 Pro+ review. We’ve already completed the battery life test, and it looks quite promising, outperforming its competition.
