After assessing Crucial’s original PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD, the T700, last July, it was evident that it stood out on its own. However, with other manufacturers entering the Gen5 SSD market, the T700 now has competition with up to 12,400 MB/s in performance (like the Corsair MP700 PRO).
Refusing to relinquish its position, Crucial introduces the T705, claiming even higher sequential speeds of up to 14,500 MB/s read and 12,700 MB/s write. We obtained a 2TB unit for review to assess its performance on a Gen5-capable testbed.
