Summary
So far, I’ve praised the CTE C700 TG for its features. But there are some drawbacks to consider. Thermaltake has provided us with a spacious case, but the utilization of that space leaves something to be desired. The CTE C700 TG is tall and wide, but lacks optimization. While it can accommodate two 420mm radiators and a 240mm one at the bottom with careful part selection, my preferred watercooling case can fit two 480mm radiators and two 360mm radiators, all for the same price of $179.99.
Upon closer inspection, when a 360mm radiator is installed at the front of the CTE C700, it’s evident that with better design of the outer trim and interior framework, there would be enough space for two 360mm radiators side by side. The top space above the I/O is overly deep, making it inconvenient to reach down for USB connections. While Thermaltake aimed to hide cables for a clean look, it results in these cables being visible from inside the chassis when connecting USB or display cables.
