With the recent unveiling of the Galaxy A35 5G, it comes as no surprise that Samsung is also working on the M35 5G. The M35 5G has reportedly made an appearance on GeekBench under the code name SM-M356B.
The M35 5G is expected to utilize the Exynos 1380 chipset, similar to the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A54 models. This chipset, developed by Samsung, features a 5nm architecture with a CPU configuration consisting of four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores operating at 2.0 GHz. The chipset also includes a Mali G68 GPU and supports UFS 3.1 storage, LPDDR4X, and LPDDR5 RAM. Although the specific memory configurations in the Galaxy M35 5G are still unknown, the GeekBench test unit was equipped with 6GB of RAM and ran Android 14.
While exact specifications are yet to be confirmed, based on previous M-series devices, we can anticipate similarities with the Galaxy A series. Expect a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a flat middle frame design, a large 6,000 mAh battery – a signature M-series feature, and likely expandable storage options. Additionally, an 8GB RAM variant may be available. However, there might be some compromises compared to the Galaxy A35 5G, possibly in areas like water resistance, camera capabilities, and speaker quality. These assumptions are speculative, and further details will be shared once available.
