Samsung and Google Cloud have teamed up to bring the power of Google AI to the new Samsung Galaxy S24 series, giving users access to the advanced AI model, Gemini, through Samsung-built apps and services.
With Gemini Pro, Samsung’s familiar apps on the new Galaxy S24 series, such as Notes, Voice Recorder, and Keyboard, will offer enhanced functionality. For instance, Voice Recorder will be able to provide a summary of recorded lectures, while the Galaxy S24 Gallery app will feature advanced photo editing capabilities thanks to Imagen 2, Google’s cutting-edge text-to-image diffusion technology.
Moreover, the Galaxy S24 series will integrate Gemini Nano, a highly efficient on-device AI model, to enhance the Google Messages app and ensure user data remains on the smartphone. Samsung will also be among the first to test Gemini Ultra, Google’s largest AI model designed for complex tasks, before its broader availability to developers and enterprise customers later this year.
