HONOR Magic 6 Pro Hands-on Review
HONOR just unveiled its latest Magic 6 Pro flagship smartphone for global markets, and we’ve been hands-on. Here are our first impressions!
Porsche Design HONOR Magic 6 RSR
After launching the Magic V2 RSR in collaboration with Porsche Design, HONOR introduces a new version of the Magic 6 in partnership with them. The new Magic 6 RSR boasts Porsche’s signature hexagonal camera layout and a raised ridge down the center for improved grip. Crafted from titanium, it comes in two colors: Agate Grey inspired by the Porsche 911 and Frozen Berry inspired by the Porsche Taycan.
The Magic 6 RSR excels in durability, featuring IP68 dust and water resistance, and HONOR’s proprietary NanoCrystal Shield on both the front and back for additional glass protection. The camera setup is upgraded as well, boasting a main 50MP HONOR Falcon Camera H9800 sensor with improved HDR compared to the standard version. It also includes a LiDAR Matrix Autofocus System for fast and accurate focus, ideal for capturing fast-moving scenes.
The most significant enhancement lies in the display aspect. The HONOR Magic 6 RSR showcases the industry’s first dual-layer OLED Tandem Display, offering better longevity compared to a regular OLED panel with a 600 percent longer lifespan and providing brighter visuals with enhanced power efficiency.
Furthermore, the Magic 6 RSR packs a punch with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 1TB of internal storage, 24GB of RAM, and a range of on-device AI features, including support for HONOR’s Magic Portal. The RSR variant includes a larger 5600 mAh battery, faster 80W wired charging, and will be globally available in the second quarter of 2024.
