Final Thoughts
In this brief review, we look at the Sapphire PURE Radeon RX 7900 GRE, a product that was introduced more than six months ago in China and now contributes to enhancing AMD’s global Radeon product lineup in the RDNA 3 generation. Priced slightly higher than the Radeon RX 7800 XT (official price), it offers significant value but doesn’t bring any revolutionary features, especially for Radeon RX 6950 XT owners.
The launch of the Radeon RX 7900 GRE focuses more on availability and pricing rather than groundbreaking technology. Introducing the Golden Rabbit Edition at this point makes sense, especially with the declining presence of the RX 6950 XT in the market. Recently, the 6950 XT was available at the same $549 USD price tag as the 7900 GRE, but a current check on Newegg reveals that those cards are now “out of stock.”
Here’s a look at the pricing of the Sapphire lineup at launch:
- PULSE RX 7900 GRE: $549
- PURE RX 7900 GRE: $569 (as reviewed)
- NITRO+ RX 7900 GRE: $599
