Our attention spans have suffered from the constant scrolling through social media, leading to a fast-paced society. Instead of leisurely reading the morning newspaper with a cup of coffee, we now find ourselves absorbed in our phone screens, rushing through our day.
I don’t mind it, honestly. My job as a writer demands sifting through vast amounts of information from various sources, naturally leading to a lot of skimming. I even read to fall asleep. To counteract this, I seek solace in the woods.
For me, a good hike or camping trip has always been a way to slow down and immerse myself in the details. However, in the past year, I’ve found myself squeezing these retreats into my busy schedule.
Though I still enjoy my time outdoors, I haven’t been able to completely disconnect.
Then, a package arrived from Utah containing two lemons, a bag of seasoning, and a cedar plank with “Feelin’ Sendy” inscribed on it. Centered on that plank were two CIVIVI Sendy pocket knives, along with a letter from Ben Petersen and a recipe for Plank Salmon. This package stopped me in my tracks, and that was just the beginning.
In essence: If you’re in search of a fast and reliable knife to keep you grounded on the trail, either of these Sendy knives will do the job. Speaking from experience, this is a great opportunity to try out the uncommon but effective Spey blade shape.

CIVIVI Sendy Pocket Knives: Review

Design and Features
The Sendy comes in four variations of traditional flipper-style pocket knives. All four variations share the same dimensions and feature Nitro-V steel, stainless steel liners, and a deep-carry pocket clip.
Additionally, all four Sendy variants use caged ceramic ball bearings for a seamless opening, a liner lock, and two additional accessories — a pair of tweezers and a toothpick, both made from stainless steel.
