# Trailblazer Pivot Review: A Review of an Innovative 9mm PCC
The Trailblazer Pivot, a blowback PCC chambered in 9mm, offers a unique solution to compact storage. Instead of traditional methods such as shortening the barrel or stock, folding, or making it a takedown, the Pivot’s upper receiver rotates on the lower receiver to increase its length from its closed size to unfold into a carbine with a 16-inch barrel.
The folding and unfolding process is easy enough, as there is a flush button on the front of the lower to unlock the receivers, allowing users to rotate the upper to the unfolded position. When folded, the Pivot has to be unloaded and have the bolt locked back to pivot open or closed, and a clearance slot for the hammer is provided. It also has an adjustable length stock that holds a magazine.
The Pivot uses Glock magazines, and the pistol grip is deliberately designed to be compatible with G19 magazines. It features an aluminum shell upper with a steel barrel and bolt inside, while the lower is aluminum and polymer. It has M-Lok slots for accessories, making it easy to add gear.
The performance of the Pivot is reliable, as it fed, fired, and ejected all tested 9mm ammo without any issues. Disassembly involves a punch or small-diameter Philips-head screwdriver, and a hole in the rear plate of the upper receiver. It’s compact size makes it easily concealable, but users need to be aware of the laws in their jurisdiction.
In terms of cost, the Pivot may seem a bit expensive, but it’s comparable to other 9mm-chambered ARs. Overall, the Trailblazer Pivot offers a compact storage solution and an innovative design that sets it apart from other PCCs.
