The vivo V30 Pro is edging closer to its launch as it recently appeared in the Geekbench database, revealing its use of the Dimensity 8200 processor.
The chipset in question, the Dimensity 8200, was previously linked to the vivo S18 Pro, which debuted with the more powerful Dimensity 9200+ and is currently only available in China. However, the V30 Pro is now reported to be using the Dimensity 8200.
It’s still early to dissect the benchmark scores as they vary significantly, with two recorded runs showing scores of 1,045/3,637 in single/multi-core for one run and 1,223/3,784 for the other. The latter is more aligned with what is expected from the Dimensity 8200.

The V30 Pro was equipped with 12GB of RAM and ran on Android 14. It joins other vivo phones powered by the Dimensity 8200, including the V27 Pro and V29 Pro launched last year.
In the same generation, the vivo V30 Lite arrived at the end of 2023 with a Snapdragon 695 and a base configuration of 12/256GB. Later, the vivo V30 was introduced with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and an 8/128GB base configuration, expandable to 12/512GB.
Comparing it to the S18, the V30 shares many similarities, yet comes with differences such as a 50MP ultra-wide camera instead of the 8MP on the S18. Meanwhile, the V30 Lite has even bigger differences from the S18e. Therefore, it is likely that the V30 Pro will also have various distinctions from the S18 Pro beyond just the chipset.
