This is the best time to get your hands on PC games, as the spooky season is here and Steam is marking the occasion with its annual sale.
As October comes to a close, Halloween, the spookiest holiday of the year, is fast approaching.
And if dressing up and indulging in sweets all day isn’t enough, Steam will be holding a site-wide sale, offering a chance to stock up on horror games and action-packed thrillers to get into the spooky spirit.
The sale will kick off tonight (28th October) and will continue until 1st November. Based on past years, the sale is expected to start at 6pm BST.
This sale offers a wide variety of games, and contrary to popular belief, they don’t have to be horror games – although they usually receive significant price cuts.
Previous years have seen major discounts on popular titles like Dying Light, Devil May Cry 5, and Dead by Daylight.
Keep an eye out for the Five Nights at Freddie’s franchise, Alien Isolation, Outlast, and Resident Evil Village.
Non-horror titles are also part of the Halloween sale; it’s not all spooky stuff. Game developers occasionally hold special events in their games during Halloween, even if the game isn’t particularly scary, so you might come across some interesting updates during the Steam sale.
Additionally, a couple of Valve games may receive discounts, giving you the opportunity to grab Left 4 Dead or some of the classic Portal games, if they aren’t already part of your game library.
There’s a possibility of price drops on newer games as well, although there are no guarantees. Titles like Back 4 Blood, Tormented Souls, and Alien Fireteam are on our watchlist for potential discounts.
