YouTube Create, Google’s mobile app dedicated to creators, is growing its reach to additional countries after launching last year. The app was initially only on Android in the U.S. and a few other markets but is now expanding to over a dozen countries, including Brazil, Spain, Canada, and Australia.
With this expansion, Create will be available in 21 countries.
Create provides creators with user-friendly tools for making short and long videos on the go. The app aims to help creators with video editing and offers creative features like stickers, GIFs, and effects. It also aims to compete with TikTok, known for its creative tools and filters that attract non-technical users interested in creating videos.

Users of Create can upload video clips, edit, add effects, and use copyright-safe music to enhance their videos. The app syncs the beats of the music to video clips, similar to TikTok.
Another handy feature, Audio Cleanup, reduces background noise and improves audio quality of smartphone-recorded clips.
The app also offers a voiceover tool with automatic captioning options for a personalized touch.
Once editing is complete, users can easily publish their videos on YouTube with a tap.

YouTube aims to attract creators who prefer using standalone editing tools. Many creators use CapCut alongside TikTok for its editing capabilities. Create offers a similar experience for those focused on YouTube content creation.
Starting now, the Create app is accessible in new countries like Argentina, Australia, Brazil, and more. It first launched in the U.S., Germany, France, and other select markets.
